With Jay Wright choosing to retire from Villanova, many in the college basketball world are also talking about Coach K.
Mike Krzyzewski, of course, did not choose an abrupt retirement. Instead, the legendary college basketball head coach had a year-long retirement tour.
Wright, along with former North Carolina head coach Roy Williams, chose different options.

Surely Jay Wright is doing a year long retirement tour right?

Jay Wright: Quietly retires a month after the season ends.
Coach K: Retirement tour during the season.
🤷🏻♂️

Wait, coaches can retire without doing a year-long retirement/look at me tour?

Coach K has a full season retirement tour. Jay Wright just walks away. Jay > K.

Jay Wright did not need to make Jay Wright’s retirement tour about Jay Wright like some other coach…

I still cannot believe that Jay Wright didn’t give us a retirement tour. Very selfish of him not to let us watch him do what he loves for one more ride. SAD!

Wright is one of the best head coaches in college basketball history, winning two national championships at Villanova.
