The Washington Football Team dropped to 6-7 on the season after Sunday’s Week 14 loss to the Dallas Cowboys.
The Cowboys jumped ahead early, scoring 18 points in the first quarter. By halftime, Dallas had extended its lead to 24-0. Washington fans felt hopeless. This was expected to be the day where the WFT moved within a game of the division-leading Cowboys with a win.
As you might expect, Washington Twitter had many reactions during Sunday’s game. There was despair in the first half, hope and possible jubilation in the second half. But, in the end, despite a valiant effort, the WFT’s remarkable comeback attempt fell just short when officials ruled Kyle Allen fumbled the football. It was a questionable call.
