Player Overview

Oluafemi “Femi” Olajedo is a former 3-star recruit from Cosumnes Oaks HS (CA) who started with the University of California Bears as an off-ball outside linebacker. After two seasons, he transferred to the UCLA Bruins in 2023. With a strong linebacker room, Oladejo converted to defensive end. It provided results as he produced career highs in sacks (4.5), tackles for loss (14), and led the team in QB hurries (6). He turned heads in the Senior Bowl in practices and a two-sack performance in the Senior Bowl game.

As a former converted linebacker, Oluwafemi has rare traits mixed with a fiery disposition. He knocks tackles with violent hands that can use some technique refinement. He plays with a nasty demeanor and has a relentless motor to boot. Using his linebacker skills, he’s able to diagnose run plays and navigate through traffic. All positives aside, Oluwafemi is still a work in progress. He lacks refinement in hand technique and has an inconsistent attack plan. This leads to him not winning consistently when the initial pass rush plan fails. He can be too eager to give up leverage and find himself out of place. Oladejo is a project defensive end that can be best described as a ball of clay with desirable physical measurements. He is viewed as an early Day 3 selection. The Commanders have scheduled a Top-30 visit with him.

Awards & Recognition

  • Senior Bowl Invitee (2025)
  • Kenny Clark Award for “Most Outstanding Defensive Lineman” (2024)

Oluwafemi Oladejo is a DE prospect in the 2025 draft class. He does not qualify for a #RAS due to a lack of measurements.

Strengths

  • Relentless motor with nasty disposition.
  • Has a good chop, spin, and inside move that will translate to the next level.
  • Great closing pursuit to the ball carrier.
  • Sound tackling, wraps up.
  • Adept at shooting through gaps to make plays in the backfield.

Weaknesses

  • Very raw, only one season at the position.
  • Rushes with little body control or plan of action.
  • Needs to learn how to anchor and handle leverage better.
  • Inconsistent hand technique leads to getting stifled.
  • Sluggish feet when in coverage.

Oluwafemi Oladejo (@femigokrazy) with the cross chop/club/rip.

Attacks the center, then uses the jab to change his rush angle & press vertical while baiting the OL to shoot his hands. Chops the low hand, club/rips to finish & wins! #PassRush #NFLDraft

A name that continues to buzz — UCLA ED Femi Oladejo, who is currently on a 30 visit with the Commanders this afternoon. Versatile defender has had an excellent predraft process that included a nice showcase at his pro day where he worked at both off ball LB and edge.

How Will He Fit On The Team

The front office looks for players with his disposition and the physical measurements as potential future Commanders. What Femi doesn’t have in production, he has in traits and measurements. The top-30 visit shows the coaching staff and front office feel there’s a place for Oladejo in the defensive end room. He has versatility as a rush linebacker and feels he has the traits to be a quality starter in a few years. Washington is looking for sub-package rushers and they believe Femi could fit the bill. What Washington is getting from Oladejo is a violent rusher who is best when violently attacking tackles and shooting the gaps to make plays in the backfield. Selecting Femi Oladejo would be the Commanders’ coaching staff betting on themselves to make him a complete defensive end with special traits.
