At this time last year, four-star wide receiver recruit Agiye Hall was putting on a show at Alabama’s spring game.
It looked like the Crimson Tide struck gold with another talented wideout. However, just year later, he’s announced his transfer to a different program in a different conference.
On Tuesday night, Hall announced his transfer to the University of Texas. He’ll join former Alabama offensive coordinator Steve Sarkisian, who went 5-7 in his first year as the head coach at Texas.
“It’s a new sheriff in town,” Hall said on Twitter.

Just last week, Alabama head coach Nick Saban announced that the team suspended Hall for violating team policies. Saban didn’t elaborate as to the exact reason for moving on from Hall, but made it clear he didn’t live up to the team’s expectations.
“Whether they’re academic or whatever, it doesn’t matter,” Saban said, per ESPN’s Alex Scarborough. “Everyone has a responsibility and obligation to respect the principles and values and do what they need to do. They’re all there to help them be successful.”
Hall only racked up four receptions for 72 yards during his freshman season. However, 52 of those came in Alabama’s National Championship loss to Georgia.
