Tiger Woods hasn’t slammed the door shut on participating in the 2022 Masters. In fact, he actually arrived in Georgia this Tuesday.
A final decision hasn’t been made by Woods yet, but there are plenty of fans who have their fingers crossed hoping he’ll give it a go.
Colt Knost, a retired golfer who spent over a decade on the PGA Tour, sounds confident that Woods will compete next week at Augusta National.
“He’s gonna tee it up, I think,” Knost said. “I know Joe and Tiger are close, but I don’t see Joe flying down to Florida just to carry his bag and hang out … if he knew he wasn’t going to play, he would have already told us.”

According to Dan Rapaport of Golf Digest, Woods’ decision will come down to his range of motion.
“For Tiger—if it’s just about pain, he’ll play,” Rapaport tweeted. “His pain tolerance is unreal. Won a USOpen on a broken leg. The question is whether range of motion/pushing off is impacted, and if there’s risk of further injury. If it’s just a matter of gritting your teeth, gotta think he’ll play.”
The Masters will begin on April 7. Hopefully, Woods is healthy enough to compete in this year’s event.
