Monday, more bad news was released regarding former Washington quarterback Dwayne Haskins.
Broward County Medical Examiner’s Office released details further explaining the condition of Haskins just before he was struck by a dump truck and a second vehicle on I-595 the morning of April 9.
Following working out with other Pittsburgh Steelers on April 8, Haskins then went to a nightclub with a reported “friend/cousin.” A representative of the Steelers conveyed that Haskins drank heavily and was involved in a fight.
The toxicology report declared Haskins’ alcohol levels of .20 and .24 (well above the Florida legal limit of .08) were the result of two separate samples recorded.
Additionally, the former Ohio State Buckeye quarterback tested positive for ketamine and norketamine, both commonly used as anesthetics.
Furthermore, following Haskins being struck by the two vehicles, Haskins’ car was found to be occupied by a female companion who has yet to be identified.
Haskins’ wife Kalabrya, had been contacted by phone that Haskins was leaving his car to go obtain some gas for his car. When she did not hear back from him, Kalabrya called 911, expressing concern for his safety.
Haskins was drafted 15th overall by Washington in the 2019 NFL draft because owner Daniel Snyder was insistent and resolute in going against the better judgment of his football staff, who were certain Haskins should not be drafted that early.
