Former Washington RB Brian Mitchell was Upset

December 30, 2021 by Redskins Wire

Of course, many Washington Football Team fans were frustrated with the last game, but did you see how frustrated former Washington RB Brian Mitchell was following the game?

Mitchell had decided enough was enough. “BMitch” was going to speak his mind, and with conviction.

“I’ve watched this team the whole year. I have heard excuses, I have seen lack of emotion. And when I watched this game today, I finally saw emotion, but it was on the sideline against teammates.

“Dallas was out there kicking our a—- consistently. We sat there, and we took it. But we’re fighting our teammates. I don’t know what was said to make Daron put his finger in his (Allen’s) face, but you stick your finger in someone’s face, they are going to throw a punch. . … The enemy is the blue and silver. We did no fighting against them,” he said.

“Let me take you back to the beginning of the season. We have to just hold on until the last five games of the season.  We are at the last five games… After winning four straight games, we have now lost three straight and it looks like everything is crumbling.”

“And yes, we have a head coach who wants to be cool. I will say this: You have to show some emotions if you want your team to show it. I’ve watched too much football. I’ve watched this football team for well over 30 years. This is a passionate fan base, and I think you need to give some level of passion,”

“Coach Gibbs was the quietest man in the world, but he had an energy and passion on the sidelines.

“This” is not gonna get it (Mitchell crossed his arms, imitating WFT head coach Ron Rivera. When you are getting demolished like that and your players are fighting each other?”

I sit up here and I swallow a lot of what I know, and a lot of what I know I am starting to see right now.

“That’s why this team is awful,” Mitchell continued. “Because nobody corrects things. We sit here, we want to pacify people, we want to act as if everything is good. You’re not good when you’re sitting there 6-9 … You’re not good when you’re getting embarrassed like that.”

Mitchell then went off on the WFT benches being brought to road games, saying it was the dumbest thing he has seen his entire life.
