“Give Me Two First-Round Picks, We’ll Consider It” – Dolphins Star Wideout Likely on Trade Block

April 16, 2025 by Last Word On Pro Football

tyreek hill trade block

Even though it’s highly unlikely, the Miami Dolphins could still explore the idea of putting wide receiver Tyreek Hill on the trade block. According to reports, Dolphins general manager Chris Grier is not looking to trade Hill, but offers could change his mind as the superstar has been in the trade conversations. This isn’t the first time that the wide receiver could the team in a potential trade, especially after his recent incident. Many were calling for his release even before 2025 since he’s been problematic off the field.

However, it hasn’t had any effect on his stardom, putting on a show every season and recording five All-Pro nods. Despite that, Hill didn’t have the best campaign last year since he only put up 959 receiving yards, which is his lowest total since his 12-game 2019 season with the Kansas City Chiefs. If the Dolphins move on from Hill, it will be because the team is rebuilding, but that’s not the goal for the wide receiver. Grier prefers to keep him on the roster, and that could all change if the right offer is on the table.

A trade might not be available, but it doesn’t mean it won’t happen at all. Hill has a lot to show in a new scenery and may request a trade if the Dolphins continue on a losing streak next season.

Dolphins Star Wideout Tyreek Hill Likely on Trade Block – 5 Possible Fits

Potential Next Teams

Los Angeles Chargers

Head Coach Jim Harbaugh must put this Los Angeles Chargers offense in the best position to win. Quarterback Justin Herbert knows how to bring out the best in a wide receiver, but someone like Mike Williams isn’t in his prime anymore. Meanwhile, Quentin Johnston is depleting each season, so the only capable guy they have is 2024 draft pick Ladd McConkey. Hill did tease he’s willing to join the Chargers, so Harbaugh should pull the hammer to give Herbert relief in the aerial attack.

Kansas City Chiefs

No one should count out a reunion between the Chiefs and Tyreek Hill. The Chiefs could do everything they can if it means Patrick Mahomes is having another below-average season. If Xavier Worthy or Rashee Rice gets into more trouble, the team may have to explore other options. Hill makes too much sense for this team for them not to bring him back for at least a few seasons before he decides on retirement.

New Orleans Saints

Even though general manager Mickey Loomis refuses to rebuild, the Saints should anyway, while they can, since Derek Carr will be out with yet another season-ending injury. Chris Olave was already on the trade block, so it shouldn’t be surprising if he winds up requesting one. Rashid Shaheed and veteran Brandin Cooks are more reliable in certain moments, but not on the level of what Hill can contribute.

Washington Commanders

For the Commanders, this is their chance to maximize Jayden Daniels to help lead this team to a potential Super Bowl. After trading for Deebo Samuel and bringing back Michael Gallup out of retirement, the team is in the best spot of any other NFL team. Terry McLaurin could use another fiery pass catcher to solidify the aerial attack and get Hill in the mix to create plenty of separation.

Baltimore Ravens

While the Ravens are signing DeAndre Hopkins, it’s only temporary. Wideouts Zay Flowers and Rashod Bateman will remain the team’s consistent receivers, but someone like gives more of a long-term promise. Hopkins will eventually retire and won’t last more than two seasons, and Hill could easily take his spot.
