No prizes; just bragging rights
If you’d like to get in on the fun of picking Week 1 winners in the NFL without having to risk any money or win any prizes, I’ve got the contest for you.
This is actually two contests:
- Simply pick the winner (Pick’em)
- Pick against the spread (Spread)
You can participate in either, both, or neither.
- No entries will be accepted after kickoff of the Thursday Night Football game (Ravens at Chiefs).
- If you want to change your entry, simply click the appropriate link below and fill in another entry form. I will use the last one submitted prior to TNF kickoff as the official entry.
- The spreads used for the Point Spread contest will be the ones available to me from Fanduel at the time of writing the article and they will not change.
To enter the PICK’EM contest, simply click this link and complete the form
The forms ask you to enter an email address. You should automatically receive a copy of your picks via email to the address provided. If you do not want to provide your email address, simply enter a dummy address (e.g., dummy@hotmail.com) to continue with the form.
To enter the POINT SPREAD contest, simply click this link and complete the form
Note that in the Point Spread contest, the FAVORITE is denoted with a minus sign (-) while the UNDERDOG is denoted with a plus sign (+). For example, this week, Tampa Bay is favored by 3 points over Washington:
- Commanders +3
- Buccaneers -3
I’ll publish the list of entrants with the highest scores after the conclusion of the Week 1 slate of games.
