No prizes; just bragging rights
If you’d like to get in on the fun of picking Week 2 winners in the NFL without having to risk any money or win any prizes, I’ve got the contest for you.
This is actually two contests:
- Simply pick the winner (Pick’em)
- Pick against the spread (Spread)
You can participate in either, both, or neither.
- No entries will be accepted after kickoff of the Thursday Night Football game.
- If you want to change your entry, simply click the appropriate link below and fill in another entry form. I will use the last one submitted prior to TNF kickoff as the official entry.
- The spreads used for the Point Spread contest will be the ones available to me at the time of writing the article and they will not change.
To enter the PICK’EM contest, simply click this link and complete the form
The forms ask you to enter an email address. You should automatically receive a copy of your picks via email to the address provided. If you do not want to provide your email address, simply enter a dummy address (e.g., dummy@hotmail.com) to continue with the form.
To enter the POINT SPREAD contest, simply click this link and complete the form
Note that in the Point Spread contest, the FAVORITE is denoted with a minus sign (-) while the UNDERDOG is denoted with a plus sign (+).
I’ll publish the list of entrants with the highest scores after the conclusion of the Week 2 slate of games.
Bragging rights for Week 1

Point Spread
Congratulations to BergeyRPI who led all scorers in the Point Spread competition by correctly picking 10 out of 15 winners (the Broncos-Seahawks game was a push). Yorkieskin was right behind with 9 correct picks. We had 33 completed entries in the Point Spread contest in Week 1.
Pick’em
We had a tie in the Pick’em contest, with both MSU the man and Yard Elf correctly picking 14 out of 16 winners. Five other entrants correctly identified 13 winners. We had 62 completed entry forms in the Pick’em contest in Week 1.
By the way, I did okay in Week 1
This was before the Monday Night Football game; I also went 2-2 on Monday night to preserve my bragging rights by picking the Niners to win outright and cover the spread.
I may never get another chance to see my name at the top of the list this season, so I’m gonna boast about it immediately
