No prizes; just bragging rights
If you’d like to get in on the fun of picking this week’s winners in the NFL without having to risk any money or win any prizes, I’ve got the contest for you.
This is actually two contests:
- Simply pick the winner (Pick’em)
- Pick against the spread (Spread)
You can participate in either, both, or neither.
- No entries will be accepted after kickoff of the Thursday Night Football game.
- If you want to change your entry, simply click the appropriate link below and fill in another entry form. I will use the last one submitted prior to TNF kickoff as the official entry.
- The spreads used for the Point Spread contest will be the ones available to me at the time of writing the article and they will not change.

Bragging rights for this week

Point Spread
We had 36 entries in the Point Spread contest (up from 33 entries last week) and ended up with a tie at the top between washingtonwin and Pontiac68, who each correctly predicted 11 out of 15 games (Falcons-Saints game was a push). I’m unilaterally declaring washingtonwin the winner of the week because he correctly picked the Commander to cover the spread, while Pontiac68 went with the Cardinals. There was a logjam behind them with 5 entrants correctly predicting 10 outcomes against the spread.
Pick’em
There were 59 entrants in this weeks Pick’em contest, up from last week’s total of 54. We finished with a 7-way tie on 12 correct picks out of 16 in a week when there were not many surprising outcomes. Another 13 entrants, including the co-winner of the Spread contest, Pontiac68, correctly picked 11 winners.
Congratulations to all on another great week of predictions. Don’t forget to click the links above and get your entries in for Week 5; it costs nothing to enter except a few minutes of your time, and the pride of winning will warm you for an entire week and give you something to brag about that will drive your friends and family crazy.
