You’d be hard-pressed to find a better play-by-play announcer in sports than Ian Eagle. The veteran announcer was at his best on Sunday.
Eagle was on the call of the Atlantic 10 conference tournament championship game between Davidson and Richmond.
Richmond pulled off the upset, securing an NCAA Tournament bid – and stealing one from a bubble team in the process.
Fans took to social media to react to Eagle’s performance.

Ian Eagle is SO GOOD (especially teaming with Spanarkel). This was hilarious.
(Loved his “Lost in the sauce” line earlier as well.) https://t.co/0tigjMA6ap— Joel Hoover (@JoelHoover) March 13, 2022
