EA Sports continues to release player ratings for Madden NFL 23 Tuesday, with edge rushers being the stars of the day. It was no surprise that Cleveland Browns star Myles Garrett was the top-ranked edge rusher with a 99 overall rating.
Edge rusher is one of the more stacked positions in the NFL, so who came in behind Garrett? That would be T.J. Watt of the Pittsburgh Steelers, with a 96 overall rating.
Next up, in order, were Nick Bosa, Von Miller, Khalil Mack, Joey Bosa, Cameron Jordan, DeMarcus Lawrence, Chandler Jones and Rashan Gary.
Washington fans, notice anyone missing?
Chase Young missed out on the top 10, with an overall rating of 86. Considering he recorded 1.5 sacks last season before his injury, that’s a generous rating. However, Young has as much, if not more, talent than most of the players in the top 10, and he could be a prime candidate for a bounceback season.
Young’s pass-rushing partner, Montez Sweat, came away with an 80 overall rating. 16 pass-rushers were ranked ahead of Young, and four edge rushers were tied with his 86 rating.
Sweat and Young were two of the fastest edge rushers in Madden with speed ratings of 91 and 87, respectively.
On Monday, Washington wide receiver Terry McLaurin was the No.9-ranked wide receiver in Madden NFL 23.
