Jayden Daniels speaks to the media after practice
Jayden Daniels spoke to the media after today’s practice, the first back in Ashburn after a two week road trip. He said he’s happy to be back home, and looks forward to playing in front of sold out crowd at Northwest Stadium. The Washington Commanders are hosting the Cleveland Browns, and Daniels talked about getting ready to face their defense.
Daniels said the first four games of his rookie season have been eventful, but there’s plenty of room to grow. The team is 3-1, but it’s not a finished product, and everyone is focusing on improving the team. Daniels wouldn’t bite when asked if he considered himself a star after all the national media attention for the historic start to his NFL career. He again said that he’s still a rookie, and he’s not focusing on the outside noise, but he does see it. Daniels praised his offensive line, and said they wouldn’t be where they are without the big guys up front. He’s worked on his communication with center Tyler Biadasz on and off the field, something that’s important for the QB and all of his offensive linemen.
