Jayden Daniels, Deebo Samuel, Frankie Luvu and other players speak to the media after practice
The Washington Commanders are back in Ashburn for Phase 3 of offseason activities(OTAs). which started yesterday. Today was the first day of media availability, and players like Jayden Daniels, Deebo Samuel, and Frankie Luvu all answered questions from reporters after practice.
Daniels said working with the same OC(Kliff Kingsbury) and offense helps him get comfortable going into his second year in the NFL. He was asked about “bulking up” and downplayed it as just working out in the weight room and trying to improve. “I was just in the weight room, just working out. You always try to improve in different areas, but I don’t know what to say about that. Let the people talk about it.” He was asked later in the presser if he had a plan to gain weight in the offseason. “Nah, I was just working out. It wasn’t like I need to eat this amount. It was just go out there and have a plan, and naturally just put on weight.”
Reporters asked Daniels about getting more attention after his record-breaking rookie season. He said the outside noise doesn’t matter and that you have to keep proving yourself. The focus is on Jayden Daniels and the Washington Commanders and that means more primetime games and (inter)national attention.

Outside noise/still proving himself:
The popularity of Jayden Daniels has skyrocketed.
Through it all, he’s remained grounded.
Jayden said, “I’ve never been the type of individual that I could say looks for fame. I am a very introverted individual so I just go out there and live my life how I live it.” pic.twitter.com/SsO7tiRfMj

Terry McLaurin:
Me and Terry got a good relationship outside of football. He obviously has to handle what he has to handle, but that doesn’t change anything with the fact that he’s part of our brotherhood. We know Terry is working and everything, so we got to get better and he knows he’s got to get better each and every day.
Kyren Lacy:

New Commanders WR Deebo Samuel is already impressed with Jayden Daniels.
Deebo said, “just being here for two or three months now, I feel like the man can make every throw. He’s comfortable. He knows what’s going on. He knows where the ball needs to go. I think he’s very smart.” pic.twitter.com/FH46CmtxJ6

Terry McLaurin:
I understand the business side of the things, and when he stopped coming out I understand his side of the story, so I just try to not get bothered with it and let him deal with it on his own and just kind of handle it on his own. But when he was here, business was business, feeding off each other’s energy and trying to get each other better.
