It was only a matter of time before Joe Rogan weighed in on the arrest of UFC legend Cain Velasquez for attempted murder. As with most things that Rogan says these days, there was plenty of intrigue to go with it.
On a recent episode of The Joe Rogan Experience, Joe Rogan defended Cain Velasquez for attempting to kill the man who had allegedly molested a close family member. Rogan lamented that Velasquez wound up shooting an innocent man by mistake. He wished instead that Velasquez had dealt with him by hand.
“I mean, my only wish is that he did it with his hands,” Rogan said. “My only wish is that he just ran the car off the road, pulled that guy out of the f-ing car, and beat him to death. F- you.”
Velasquez, a two-time UFC heavyweight champion, faces a minimum of 20 years to life in prison on charges of attempted first-degree murder, shooting at a motor vehicle, assault with a firearm, assault with a deadly weapon, willfully discharging a firearm from a vehicle, and carrying a loaded firearm with intent to commit a felony.
Joe Rogan wishes Cain Velasquez’s alleged actions unfolded in a different manner.

Cain Velasquez’s target was a man who had recently been charged with molesting a family member “100 times” as some reports say. The man was out on bail and Velasquez tracked him down.
But when Velasquez reached him, he was in a truck carrying him, his mother, and stepfather. Velasquez shot at the car anyway, shooting the stepfather, who was driving the car. The stepfather suffered non-life threatening injuries from the shooting.
Velasquez is receiving a lot of support given the circumstances surrounding the case.
None of that is likely to help Cain Velasquez in court though.
