Top 2023 prospect Kwame Evans Jr. has reportedly whittled down his list to five schools.
According to Joe Tipton of On3, the power forward from Florida’s Montverde Academy has cut down his final candidates to Oregon, Indiana, Auburn, Kentucky, and UCLA.
Evans has only made an official visit to Kentucky, but he’s planning a trip to Oregon at the end of the month.

The 6-foot-9, 200-pound prospect is On3’s second-ranked class of 2023 recruit behind Camden’s Dajuan Wagner Jr. Evans holds the same placement on 247Sports and ESPN. On3 pegs Kentucky and Oregon as co-favorites to land the five-star recruit, giving each a 36.5 percent probability.
Per Tipton, Evans has also received offers from multiple other programs, including LSU, Florida, and Memphis.
Last December, ESPN scouting analyst Mike Schmitz described Evans as “long and fluid with a projectable jumper.” The lefty is poised to make a significant impact wherever he chooses to play in 2023.
