The Washington Commanders (0-1) opened as 2.5-point favorites over the New York Giants (0-1) in their Week 2 matchup.
Both teams suffered double-digit losses in Week 1, with the Commanders falling to the Buccaneers 37-20 on the road and the Giants being embarrassed at home by the Minnesota Vikings 28-6.
The betting lines favored Washington early last week, likely due to New York’s uncertainty regarding the quarterback position. Daniel Jones continued to struggle and had a rough outing against the Vikings.
For Washington, rookie quarterback Jayden Daniels played well enough to win the NFL Pepsi Zero Sugar Rookie of the Week award.
Now that we’ve arrived at gameday, the Commanders are still favored, but those lines have shifted in favor of the Giants. BetMGM says Washington is now only a 1.5-point favorite over New York.
