Antonio Brown replied to a video of himself by praising his own technique.
Following a post about a route run during his final game with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, the free-agent wide receiver said he wasn’t even performing at optimal speed. He previously claimed that the team pressured him to play through an injured ankle, and told him he was done with the team after he declined.
“Never Quit,” Brown wrote. “I caint [sic] even run full speed. Pure Technique here champ watch the YAC caint [sic] even run this 6 with that separation.”

Nobody is questioning Brown’s on-field ability. At the peak of his prowess, he was the NFL’s premier wide receiver for the Pittsburgh Steelers. Last season, he caught 42 of 62 targets for 545 yards and four touchdowns in just seven games.
It’s everything else that should send teams fleeing.
In 2019, the New England Patriots released Brown following allegations of rape by a former trainer. He also sent threatening text messages to the accuser before later settling last year.
The following year, the NFL suspended him following charges of felony assault and battery after Brown got arrested for attacking a driver of a moving company truck. It wouldn’t be the last time he faced a suspension, as the league banned three games last season for providing a fake vaccine card.
Although the Buccaneers kept giving him chances, Brown later made a dramatic scene by taking off his jersey and leaving MetLife Stadium during the game.
He may run routes well, but there’s a mounting number of non-football reasons for teams to avoid Brown.
