Former NASCAR and IndyCar driver Danica Patrick continues to do big things off the track.
This week, Patrick will once again be on the call for FOX’s broadcast of the Cup Series race. Last weekend, Patrick was on the call in Las Vegas. This weekend, she’s set to be in the broadcasting booth in Phoenix.
Patrick has admitted that she no longer has the urge to race, but she’s staying connected to the sport.
“That was a 27-year season of my life, where I sort of strapped on the armor, and I was tough and strong and aggressive and was built for that world,” Patrick told Bob Pockrass in a phone interview.
“And I also enjoy this phase of my life, where I can take some of that armor off, and I don’t have to be so tough, and I don’t have to be so aggressive, and I don’t have to do so much.”
Patrick has done a lot on and off the track over the years.
Notably, she posed for the iconic Sports Illustrated Swimsuit issue back in 2008 and ’09.

Patrick loved her modeling experience.
“I had so much fun. It was a great experience and I loved it completely. Like, I wish I was a swimsuit model because it was really fun,” she added.
There were some car-themed photoshoots, too. Those have to be the favorite.

Shooting for the 2022 edition of the iconic magazine is underway.
