Kevin Burkhardt is fired up to be the lead play-by-play voice for the NFL on Fox.
Burkhardt got promoted to that top role after Joe Buck decided to take his talents to ESPN. He and Troy Aikman will be calling Monday Night Football starting next season.
“I’m overwhelmed with the amount of love and support you all showed me yesterday,” Burkhardt tweeted. “Scrolled through it all this morning. Thank you so much!!”

Per Andrew Marchand of the New York Post, Burkhardt and Fox are finalizing a long-term contract that will see him call multiple Super Bowls.
In fact, he’ll call two of the three next big games, including Super Bowl LVII next February in Arizona.
Nobody knows who will be the lead analyst next to Burkhardt just yet. Marchand is reporting that Greg Olsen is a top candidate, but that the network is also looking at all of its options.
Burkhardt has been with Fox Sports since 2013 and did baseball at first before starting to do football.
He’ll now be living out a dream as the top play-by-play announcer for one of the NFL’s television networks.
