Kyrie Irving is in the building to watch the Nets play at home, but all he can do is sit courtside.
Due to being unvaccinated against COVID-19, he isn’t eligible to play at the Barclays Center. New York City has a private sector vaccine mandate still in place.
The Nets are taking on the Knicks in a pivotal matchup as the playoff race is in full force with the end of the season on the horizon.

It’s been a good start for the Nets as they’re up by two at halftime, 62-60. Kevin Durant is the main reason for that lead as he has close to half of Brooklyn’s points.
He already has 27 points in 21 minutes and is on pace to score 50+. Andre Drummond has 13 points and is the only other player on the Nets in double-figures (as of this writing).
Irving is allowed to play in most away games, but until he gets vaccinated, he won’t be allowed to play at Barclays.
Brooklyn is looking to improve to 35-33, while New York is trying to get to 29-39. You can view the rest of this contest on ABC.
