The Pittsburgh Steelers already had Carlos and Khalil Davis, Terrell and Trey Edmunds, and Derek and T.J. Watt on their roster. Now, they can add the Heyward brothers to that list.
On Saturday, the Steelers selected Michigan State tight end Connor Heyward with the 208th pick.
Heyward, is the younger brother of All-Pro defensive lineman Cameron Heyward, was such a versatile player for the Spartans. He finished his college career with 825 rushing yards, 711 receiving yards and 11 total touchdowns.

Cameron wasted no time reacting to the pick, tweeting, “Guess I got a roommate.”

Earlier this year, Cameron provided a scouting report on his younger brother.
“He’s the jack of all trades, I think. And that’s not just me blowing smoke,” Heyward said, via Steelers Depot. “I think he can really provide so many different avenues, whether it’s a running back, fullback, blocking in the backfield. Look what he did in college. He was able to run the ball then. Now, he’s able to catch out of the backfield. Look at the screen they set up. You don’t really see those tight-end screens like that anymore.”
The Steelers would be thrilled if Connor is even half the player Cameron has been in Pittsburgh.
