The Dallas Mavericks revealed Luka Doncic’s status for Game 2 moments ago. As expected, he won’t play tonight.
Doncic strained his left calf during the third quarter of the Mavericks’ regular season finale on April 10. He missed Game 1 of the Western Conference first round playoff series against the Utah Jazz on Saturday.
Utah beat Dallas 99-93 without Doncic. Yesterday, ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski reported that the three-time All-Star was “unlikely” to play tonight, and now it has been confirmed that he’ll sit things out.

Doncic averaged 28.4 points, 9.1 rebounds and 8.7 assists per game in 65 appearances this season.
Game 2 between the Jazz and Mavericks will tip off 8:30 p.m. ET tonight on NBA TV.
Dallas will have to win this one and even the series without their star point guard.
