The NBA on TNT crew are no strangers to poking fun at each other.
But during the team’s pregame coverage on Wednesday night, Shaquille O’Neal seemed to take a more serious tone with his co-worker Kenny “The Jet” Smith.
Smith joked around with Shaq, calling him out for not showing up to set on time for this evening’s show.
“You need to show up on time!” Smith said.
“First of all, we started at 6:30 and I was in here at 6:29. Technically I wasn’t late,” Shaq responded. “Second of all, if you try to be funny on TV again, I’m gonna put these paws on you.”

Given Shaq’s typically-jovial attitude, many fans weren’t sure if he was joking around or not.
Some seemed to think he was dead serious.
“Shaq so sensitive bruh lol he love making the jokes but act like a a baby when it’s made on him,” one fan wrote.
“Threatening your co worker with violence on live TV is hilarious. Shaq wanted to fight and it’s not a script,” another added.

“These old guys love each other they ain’t bout nothing lol,” one wrote.
“They’re joking lmao,” another added.
