Playoffs!
The Washington Commanders were on a three-game losing streak, but Sunday’s win against the Tennessee Titans was all they needed to get their confidence back. Washington was the 7th seed in the NFC going into this game, and that wasn’t going to change with a win or a loss. That win does keep the dogs at bay as the Commanders enter their bye week.
The Philadelphia Eagles won again, and keep the No. 2 seed in the conference. They are heavy favorites to win the NFC East, leaving Washington in the Wild Card hunt. If both team’s keep their current spot, they will have their third game of the season in Philadelphia for the first round of the playoffs. Their second game is in Washington on December 22nd. That Week 16 game could change some seeding, but Washington needs help from other teams to move up from 7th.
The Washington Commanders are 8-5, and holding off a weak NFC. The Tampa Bay Buccaneers moved into 8th place after their win, and the Arizona Cardinals’ loss on Sunday. They are both 6-6, along with the Los Angeles Rams, but the Buccaneers currently hold the tiebreaker.
Washington didn’t get any help from the Minnesota Vikings or the Green Bay Packers, with both of them picking up wins. The Vikings are 10-2, and looking to knock the 11-1 Detroit Lions off the top of the NFC North. The Green Bay Packers are now 9-3, and sit with a 1.5-game lead over Washington in the playoff race. The Vikings host the Falcons this week, while the Packers are visiting the Lions for Thursday Night Football.
