NFL Playoff Picture Week 11: The Washington Commanders drop to the 6th seed in the NFC

The Washington Commanders have been the top team in the NFC East for most of the season, but that changed yesterday. The Commanders lost to the Pittsburgh Steelers, and the Philadelphia Eagles took care of the Dallas Cowboys in Jerry World. That puts the Eagles at 7-2 and the Commanders at 7-3, giving Philadelphia a half-game lead in the division. The Dallas Cowboys and New York Giants are disasters, and out of the playoff picture.

Washington’s 28-27 loss to Pittsburgh had major playoff implications for both teams. The Steelers stay on top of the AFC North, while the Commanders drop to the 6th seed, swapping spots with the Eagles. They have seven games left to retake the division lead, and that starts on Thursday night when they travel to Philly for a primetime game on a short week.
