The Washington Commanders have been on the road for the first two weeks of the preseason. They had joint practices with the New York Jets and Miami Dolphins before playing them. The preseason finale stays in the AFC East, but will be a home game against the New England Patriots. They didn’t have a joint practice this week, and Washington won’t be playing starting QB Jayden Daniels tonight. The Patriots haven’t named their starter for the season yet. Jacoby Brissett was a backup in Washington last year, and he’ll get the start tonight. Drake Maye, who was taken one spot after Daniels, will be the backup.
