Washington visits New Jersey

Week 9 of the 2024/25 NFL season opened with a Jets win over the Texans. Washington is 6-2 after an amazing Hail Mary win over the Chicago Bears in front of a raucous crowd. The Commanders now go on the road for the second game against the NFC East rival New York Giants. Washington opened as 3.5 point road favorites, and that line has held all week. The Over/Under increased one point to 44.5 after opening at 43.5.

The Giants come into this game with a 2-6 record, and are coming off of a Monday Night Football loss to the Pittsburgh Steelers. Their season is already lost, and they could get some joy from playing spoiler for a division rival. This is their second meeting, and the first game was too close for comfort. It was Jayden Daniels’ second game in the NFL and Washington’s offense was still fresh. They won with 7 field goals from new kicker Austin Seibert, but their offense has been much more potent since that game.
