When asked his opinion on former Miami head coach Brian Flores, Tua Tagovailoa didn’t exactly give a glowing review.
Tua is grateful that Flores welcomed him into the league as the No. 5 overall pick in 2020, but that’s about all he had to say about the former Dolphins leader.
“I’ll tell you this: I’m very thankful he drafted me to play for the Miami Dolphins. That’s what I would say,” Tua said, per Dolphins insider Safid Deen.

The NFL world took to Twitter to react to this eye-opening statement.
“That’s the nicest way to say that Flores is an asshole.. good for Tua..” one fan wrote.
“Common courtesy, then silence. Small sample of words that say it all,” another added.
I’ll go ahead and say it…

This will be Tua’s first NFL season with a head coach not named Brian Flores. After Flores was fired following the 2021 season, the Dolphins’ head coaching search led the organization to former San Francisco offensive coordinator Mike McDaniel.
Amidst a turbulent offseason that included a lawsuit against the NFL, Flores landed a new coaching job as a senior defensive assistant/linebackers coach for the Pittsburgh Steelers.
Tua will look to reach new heights with a strengthened offensive unit and a new coaching staff in 2022.
