The New England Patriots have not yet found a coach to replace former offensive coordinator Josh McDaniels. Judging by the latest update, there’s a chance they’ll go with a collaborative approach for their offensive staff.
Tight ends coach Nick Caley, offensive assistant Joe Judge and senior football advisor Matt Patricia were recently mentioned as the key pieces for the Patriots’ offensive staff, per Albert Breer.
During the latest episode of “Patriots Talk Podcast,” Phil Perry and Tom E. Curran discussed the Patriots’ coaching staff.
Perry revealed that people around the league are “flabbergasted” by the way Bill Belichick’s staff has come together.
“I can just tell you, Tom, from talking to some people here and some folks around the league: People are flabbergasted at how this Patriots staff has come together,” Perry said. “And it’s focused on that offensive side, specifically, and what they’re going to do in terms of coaching the quarterback and calling the plays.”

Perry added that New England could discuss what it’s coaching staff will look like this week at the NFL Combine.
“My understanding is the coaches themselves will be talking a little bit more about roles for 2022 this week. So, if that’s how it shakes out, there are a lot of eyebrows raised here in Indianapolis. I’ll say that.”
At this point, there are serious concerns about the offensive staff that Belichick is putting together for the 2022 season.
