The Ohio State basketball program received a major transfer addition on Saturday.
Earlier this afternoon, former Wright State guard Tanner Holden took to social media to announce his decision to join the Buckeyes in 2022.
“Next Chapter… O-H,” he wrote.
Holden was a top-20 scorer in the nation this past season as he averaged 20.1 points per game on 49.7 percent shooting from the field for the Raiders. In addition to these scoring numbers, he also logged 7.1 rebounds and 2.6 assists per game.
Holden’s impressive play led Wright State to an NCAA Tournament First Four appearance earlier this year. In a battle of No. 16 seeds, the Raiders took down Bryant 93-82 as Holden dropped a massive 37-point, 11-rebound stat-line.
Holden’s arrival in Columbus gives the Buckeyes a much-needed boost as star guards E.J. Lidell and Malaki Branham declared for the 2022 NBA draft.
Holden has two years of remaining collegiate eligibility.
