One prediction says the Commanders will be the worst NFL team in 2023

July 10, 2023 by Redskins Wire

One NFL prognosticator actually went as far Sunday to predict the Commanders will be the worst team in the NFL in 2023.

We’ve all seen analysts predicting the Commanders won’t make the playoffs or advising their followers to “take the under” on Commanders wins in 2023.

But to go as far as say they will be the absolute worst team of all 32 teams next season?

Well, that is exactly what J.J. Gruden boldly predicted Sunday evening. In fact, Gruden, who has 25.3 thousand Twitter followers, was bold enough in his statement to add, confidently that he saw no way the Commanders were going to win over 6.5 games next season.

Gruden then became insulting to the Commanders organization and their fan base when he added, “That under (6.5 wins) is the biggest lock of any win total line I’ve ever seen.”

“The biggest lock of any win total I’ve ever seen”.

Hyperbole perhaps?

What is it that makes Gruden so bold that Washington will be selecting first in the 2024 NFL draft?

What does Gruden see (or not see) in new offensive coordinator Eric Bieniemy that is going to send the Washington offense backward?

What is it about Sam Howell that Gruden sees as worse (apparently much worse) than Carson Wentz and Taylor Heinicke in 2022 for Washington?

What must Gruden think of Ron Rivera, the 2023 draft class, the Washington defense, and defensive coordinator Jack Del Rio?

The Washington Commanders will be the worst team in the NFL. Look at their schedule below and tell me how the win over 6.5 games? That under is the biggest lock of any win total line I’ve ever seen. pic.twitter.com/M5OUmNEf9I

Is he expecting Daron Payne to take his big contract and run from making a quality effort? Jonathan Allen certainly played hard last year after receiving his large contract.

Whatever Gruden sees (or thinks he sees), he is awfully brash and confident he has figured out the Washington Commanders.

Commanders Wire is certainly hoping Gruden will be proven to have been wrong (very wrong) about the 2023 Washington Commanders.

As for the prognosticator in this instance, that’s a familiar name to Washington fans.
