Despite losing All-Pro receiver Tyreek Hill this offseason, Patrick Mahomes appears to be content with the Kansas City Chiefs‘ receiving corps.
On Monday, Mahomes provided an update on his chemistry with the Chiefs’ newest additions. Earlier this year, the team signed wide receivers JuJu Smith-Schuster and Marquez Valdes-Scantling.
Mahomes told reporters that he thought some of his passes to his new targets this week were overthrows, and yet, those balls were caught because his new wide receivers have large frames.
This might seem like a routine comment, but some people believe Mahomes is throwing shade at Hill.
“Stooping to height-shame Tyreek is a new low,” Warren Sharp jokingly tweeted.

Mahomes and Hill had an incredible connection on the field, so it won’t be easy for the Chiefs to replicate that type of connection.
However, Chiefs fans have to be encouraged that Mahomes is already putting in work with his new wideouts.
