Duke head coach Mike Krzyzewski is set to coach in either the last or second to last game of his college basketball career on Saturday night.
Coach K and the No. 2 seeded Blue Devils are set to take on longtime rival North Carolina, a No. 8 seed, in a national semifinal game at the Final Four in New Orleans. With a win, Coach K and Duke will be off to the national championship game. With a loss, the Blue Devils will be going home – and Coach K’s career will be over.
The Tar Heels have already ended Coach K’s Cameron Indoor Stadium career on a sour note. UNC upset Duke on the road in the final home game of his career.
It was a somber scene following the loss, as Duke’s crowd serenaded the longtime head coach. Coach K was surrounded by his wife, children and grandchildren.
Coach K’s family has received a lot of attention in recent weeks. The head coach and his longtime wife, Mickey, have often been shown on television as they walk into the arena.
Krzyzewski’s 10 grandchildren have also been on display.

Duke Athletics shared an adorable photo of Coach K and his family earlier this season, as well.

Other than Michael Savarino, who likely refers to his grandfather as ‘Coach,’ his nine other grandchildren refer to him as “Poppy.”
The whole Krzyzewski crew is expected to be on hand for the Final Four game on Saturday evening.
Tipoff between Duke and UNC is scheduled for 8:49 p.m. E.T.
