Rams head coach Sean McVay is battling for one of the NFC’s final Wild Card spots. On Sunday, the Rams fell to 6-7 after a heartbreaking last-second loss to the Baltimore Ravens. Los Angeles is now one of four teams with a record of 6-7 and sits at No. 8 in the NFC playoff picture — a half-game behind the 6-6 Packers, who play the New York Giants on Monday Night Football.
There is some good news coming for McVay. In Week 15, his Rams will host his former team, the Washington Commanders. McVay, who came to Los Angeles in 2017 after seven seasons with Washington as an offensive assistant and coordinator, will face his former franchise for the third time. McVay is 1-1 vs. Washington.
The Commanders enter Week 15 with a 4-9 record, losing four in a row and six of their last seven games. Washington has already fired defensive coordinator Jack Del Rio, and new owner Josh Harris is expected to make sweeping changes after the season.
So, it’s unsurprising that the Rams are a big favorite over Washington. According to BetMGM, Los Angeles opens as a 6.5-point favorite over the Commanders.
