Joy Taylor has taken off as a sports personality since landing the co-host gig on FS1/FOX Sports Radio’s The Herd with Colin Cowherd. Now, she’s set to host her own show for the radio network.
According to Michael McCarthy of Front Office Sports, Taylor will be added to the Saturday radio lineup by FOX. The Joy Taylor Show is set to air from 2-4 p.m. ET starting this weekend.
To kick things off, Taylor made a big call inside the family. Jason Taylor, Joy’s brother and a former Hall of Fame defensive end for the Miami Dolphins, will guest during her radio premiere, which should be a fun listen.
“I will get his thoughts on the first week. And obviously react to Thursday with the Cowboys and Bucs playing,” Taylor told McCarthy. “Who better to talk to than a first ballot Hall of Famer, right?”

Per the report, the show will likely focus on football, touching on both the NFL and college games. It will be interesting to see how she handles college, since she’ll be up against the afternoon slate of games each week.
Taylor’s role on The Herd has grown, and she certainly lends her voice and opinion to the show more than your average host. She says that she’s made her goal of being a true sports personality clear during his entire run at FOX Sports.
From the beginning, Taylor told her Fox bosses she wanted to be an “opinionist;” not just a moderator or anchor. Her solo show will give her that opportunity. She’s also appearing with increasing frequency on other FS1 TV shows like “First Things First” and “Speak for Yourself.”
“That’s always been my goal: To be in that role. Everyone I’ve worked with at Fox has known that,” she said. “I’ve felt really blessed to be able to work with the talents I’ve been able to work with. And have them believe in me, and advocate for me the way that they have, and give me the space to grow as a talent, especially in live network TV.”
A show hosted by a group of notable former NFL stars, Up on Game with Lavar Arrington, TJ Houshmandzadeh, and Plaxico Burress, will lead-in to Taylor’s national show each Saturday.
