Atlanta Braves star outfielder Ronald Acuna Jr. could return to the lineup sometime in the next couple weeks.
The Braves are reportedly “loosely” listing Acuna’s return date at May 6 — the start of a homestand against the Milwaukee Brewers.
Acuna could begin a rehabilitation assignment as soon as this coming Tuesday, per Fox Sports MLB insider Ken Rosenthal. He would likely ease back into action with 5-6 innings in the outfield and build up to nine innings from there.
“Once they do that, he should be good to go,” Rosenthal reports.

Acuna hasn’t take the field since suffering a torn ACL injury in his right knee just before the 2021 All-Star break. Before his season-ending injury, the two-time All Star had logged 24 home runs, 52 RBI and a .283/.394/.596 slash-line through 82 games.
Without Acuna, the defending World Series-champion Braves are 4-5 to start the 2022 MLB season.
