The Houston Texans are turning their attention to trading Deshaun Watson after the quarterback avoided criminal charges for multiple accusations of sexual assault and misconduct at a grand jury Friday.
Although there are 22 active civil complaints out against Watson, many teams are reportedly prepared to meet Houston’s high asking price.
According to NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero, the Texans want three first-round picks and more for the 26-year-old quarterback.
The #Texans are expected to grant permission for interested clubs to speak to Deshaun Watson, so this could ramp up quickly. The price hasn’t changed – three first-round picks and more – and multiple teams are willing to pay it. https://t.co/1LJ5NLva9R

Talks are expected to intensify, with the New Orleans Saints and Carolina Panthers already making offers. Pelissero also noted that the Texans will grant teams permission to meet with Watson, who can pick his destination via a no-trade clause.
Along with New Orleans and Carolina, USA Today’s Mike Jones identified the Cleveland Browns and Seattle Seahawks as teams with the “strongest interest” in Watson. Jones said Watson would like to play for a Super Bowl contender.
Although the NFL could still suspend Watson, it appears multiple teams are comfortable bringing him onboard. But it won’t be cheap.
