Legendary Washington safety Sean Taylor died tragically on Nov. 27, 2007. Earlier this year, Washington honored Taylor by retiring his jersey No. 21, becoming only the third player in the franchise’s rich history to receive that honor.
Washington also honored Taylor by renaming a road leading to FedEx Field “Sean Taylor Road.” His family, including his daughter and father, were on hand for the event.
On Saturday, Taylor’s younger brother, Gabe, honored Sean Taylor on the day of his death — 14 years later. A freshman safety at Rice, Taylor helped his team seal a 35-31 win over Louisiana Tech with an interception late in the fourth quarter.

Wow.
Gabe Taylor had quite the season for Rice. He played in all 12 games, finishing with 56 tackles, three interceptions, five passes defended and one forced fumble. He was named the Conference USA defensive back of the week for his performance in a win over UAB last month.
What a moment for the Taylor family.
