The Seattle Seahawks have already traded one superstar this offseason in Russell Wilson. Could we see DK Metcalf on the move soon?
On Tuesday, Seahawks general manager John Schneider addressed Metcalf’s future with the team.
When asked if the Seahawks will extend Metcalf, Schneider replied: “Yeah, that’s our intent.”
Even though Schneider did say that he intends on extending Metcalf, it sounds like he’s not very pleased with the current market for wide receivers.
“It is what it is now, right? This is the market,” he added. “So we’ll get to that when we get to it. But yeah there is a bit of, whoa, but then you have to figure out, where’s the cap going? What it’s going to look like? How do you build your team?

Seahawks head coach Pete Carroll made similar remarks about Metcalf earlier this month.
“It’s really important to us. We love him, you know,” Carroll said, via The News Tribune. “He’s such a great, competitive kid, and he’s got so much upside. Maybe will go down as one of the great draft picks we ever had here. I thought we were so fortunate to get him where we got him, the bottom of (round) two. How could that ever have happened?”
In three seasons with the Seahawks, Metcalf has 216 receptions for 3,170 yards and 29 touchdowns.
Metcalf will most likely want a significant raise before the start of the 2022 season.
