The Washington Commanders are one day closer to training camp after Wednesday’s minicamp practice in Ashburn. It was more 11-on-11 work for Washington and quarterback Jayden Daniels.
On Wednesday, the highlight of the day didn’t belong to Daniels or the offense. It was second-year defensive back Quan Martin. Daniels broke up a Marcus Mariota pass, tipped it in the air, and caught it behind his back for an incredible interception.
Head coach Dan Quinn and defensive coordinator Joe Whitt Jr. have placed an emphasis on forcing turnovers. Their methods have proven effective in the past, and it looks like Washington’s secondary is listening.
