Pro Bowl left tackle Terron Armstead will undoubtedly be one of the top free agents available when the new league year begins next week.
During an appearance on SiriusXM NFL Radio, Armstead addressed his future in the NFL.
Armstead made it known that he’ll prioritize playing for a winning team. He also revealed that he hasn’t closed the book on his time with the New Orleans Saints.
“I think it’s still a possibility, honestly,” Armstead said. “Been there for so long, the relationships built. I’ve talked to a few of those guys. I think it’s still a possibility. Just don’t know how it would unfold as of now, but those guys have shown to work things and find ways to make things align. I wouldn’t rule out the Saints. I don’t want to rule out the Saints, I’ve been there for so long, I love the place. But the business has to make sense, everything has to line up. So, I understand the business of the league and how it folds. I just wouldn’t, I’m not ruling out any of the 32 teams until the free agency window opens.”

The Saints selected Armstead in the third round of the 2013 NFL Draft. He’s been an excellent player and leader for several years.
New Orleans most likely wants to keep Armstead on its roster, but it may not want to get into a bidding war.
Armstead isn’t the only marquee free agent the Saints will try to retain this offseason, as Marcus Williams and Jameis Winston are set to hit the open market as well.
