The Washington Commanders have a new owner. Fans are coming back in droves, and the organization’s overall vibe is as good as it’s been in many years.
But before Josh Harris and his partners took over as Washington’s owners last month, many weren’t high on the Commanders in 2023. Almost all analysts have Washington picked last in the NFC East again.
One of the more popular bets is picking the over/under for an NFL team’s number of wins for the upcoming season. A popular number for the Commanders was 6.5 for total wins. Would they go over or under?
BetMGM currently has the odds at -130 that the Commanders will be under 6.5 wins. However, betting expert Ben Fawkes noticed a positive trend in favor of Washington.

The Commanders should have an outstanding defense again in 2023. If they can get better quarterback play than they had one year ago, they will almost surely hit the over. Washington won eight games with below-average quarterback play in 2022.
