Wide receiver Jakobi Meyers is going to be back with the New England Patriots next season.
The Patriots have decided to use the second-round tender on Meyers while also deciding not to tender fullback Jakob Johnson.
Patriots have decided to use the 2nd-round tender on WR Jakobi Meyers, per his agent @DrewJRosenhaus. The Patriots will not be tendering FB Jakob Johnson, who now will be a free agent and is expected to have a market for his services.

This was an easy decision for the Patriots. Meyers is coming off his best season yet after he finished with 866 yards and two touchdowns off of 83 receptions.
All three of those numbers were career-highs after he had no touchdowns and 729 yards receiving in 2020. He also caught 59 passes during that season.
Meyers was one of Mac Jones’ favorite targets last season so this news will surely please him going into 2022.
New England will look to challenge for the AFC East crown again after coming very close to winning it this past season. Buffalo ended up taking it home and then blew New England out in the playoffs, 47-17.
Meyers will also look to break 1,000 yards for the first time in his career.
