The season is almost here
The Washington Commanders have released a new unofficial depth chart of the 2024 season. This list is released every year and coaches claim they have no input on it. Dan Quinn said this will change after joint practices and preseason games. He joked that Commanders VP of Communications had a big part in putting this year’s depth chart together.
This is the first season with Adam Peters as general manager and Dan Quinn as head coach. It’s also the first full offseason under the new ownership group led by managing partner Josh Harris. This meant a massive roster reset that saw 20+ free agents signed, and a lot of the team’s own free agents weren’t re-signed as the new leadership group “recalibrates” the team and the franchise, from top to bottom. The roster has been cut down to 53 players, and the 17-man roster has been filled.
