Washington welcomes the newest member of the family, Jordan Mage, after making him the 139th overall pick in the 2024 NFL Draft.
Draft day is finally here and Washington has picked Temple LB Jordan Magee. They passed on Clemson LB Jeremiah Trotter Jr who many fans were hoping for. The Washington Commanders haven’t had a solid LB group in a long time, but GM Adam Peters tried to address that in free agency by signing four, including Bobby Wagner and Frankie Luvu. He also declined the 5th-year option for Jamin Davis, who enters the final year of his rookie contract.
Jordan Magee was a top-10 LB prospect on most people’s rankings, and will get the opportunity to learn under future Hall of Famer Bobby Wagner, and also contribute on special teams during his rookie season. He will have the opportunity to get more playing time, and hopefully carve out a role in Joe Whitt’s new defense.

– Great awareness to help on combo blocks with teammates

Temple Tough linebacker Jordan McGee is athletic and productive. While he lacks ideal size, he triggers quickly downfield and finds a way to make plays in the backfield. To do that, he will disregard his responsibility on a play. If you can get him to play with more discipline, he has a shot to start down the line.
