North Carolina big man Armando Bacot rolled his right ankle late in Saturday night’s Final Four win over Duke. After coming out of the game briefly, he returned to help the Tar Heels close out their rival.
Fortunately, Bacot did not suffer any serious damage, according to head coach Hubert Davis, who told reporters today that x-rays on the junior center’s ankle were negative.
Bacot will suit up and play against Kansas tomorrow night.
UNC head coach Hubert Davis just provided a definitive update on injured forward Armando Bacot’s injured ankle: “They did X-rays. All negative. Obviously, it’s sore. He’s ready to play tomorrow night.”

After Davis addressed reporters today, Bacot spoke as well, saying that there is no way he would miss the national title game.
You’d have to cut my right leg off for me to not play,” Bacot said, via Heat Check’s Brian Rauf.
