Troubling allegations have emerged from the arrest of former MMA fighter and now ESPN analyst Chael Sonnen.
Sonnen is currently facing 11 counts of battery, including a felony, for an incident that occurred in Las Vegas on Dec. 18. Police documents obtained TMZ Sports shed new light on the disturbing ordeal.
Sonnen allegedly threw a woman into a light fixture during the incident. He allegedly struck her multiple times as well. The woman suffered a split lip, as a result.
That’s not all, unfortunately. Sonnen allegedly punched a man in the jaw and a security guard in the throat.
“Chael Sonnen allegedly threw a woman into a light fixture and struck her — causing her to bleed from her face — during a wild fight in a Las Vegas hotel in December 2021 … according to new police documents, obtained by TMZ Sports,” the site reports.
“In the docs, the officers say Julie [Stellpflug] told them Sonnen threw her against a light fixture and socked her in the face. Christopher, according to police, told them the strike caused Julie’s lip to split and bleed.”

Sonnen has been hit with 11 charges as a result of the incident. One of those charges is felony batter by strangulation.
ESPN, meanwhile, has removed the analyst from the air as the investigation proceeds. His future is obviously in question.
