There seems little doubt that Jayden Daniels enjoyed his breakout game in front of a national audience on Monday Night as he led the Commanders on six consecutive scoring drives to score 38 points on the road against the favored Cincinnati Bengals.
Daniels completed 21 of 23 pass attempts for 254 yards, 2 touchdowns and no interceptions.
On the ground, Daniels led his team in rushing, with 12 runs for 39 yards and yet another touchdown.
His individual performance led Daniels to a number of notable accomplishments.

Players to throw for 250 yards and 2 TD, have a rush TD, and complete 90 percent of his passes in a single game since at least 1950:

Jayden Daniels finished 21 of 23 for 254 yards and 2 touchdowns in his primetime debut, completing +20.8% of his passes over expected, the highest CPOE by a qualified passer in a game this season.

It was the kind of dominant individual performance of which legends are made. His clutch performance helped lead the Commanders to their 2nd win, as they sit atop the NFC East after three weeks of play.

Because of his fantastic night, Daniels has, for the third time in three weeks, been nominated for the Pepsi Zero Sugar Rookie of the Week, an award that he won in Week 1 for his performance against the Buccaneers.
I can’t imagine many people who watched Monday Night Football arguing that Daniels does not deserve the nomination. It’s hard for me to imagine the argument for any other player to win the award this week.
